Seny is more than a name, it’s a feeling of belonging. When I emigrated to the US from Guinea at age 15, I met another Guinean girl named Seny, who would become my dearest friend. I remember how, though I was in a foreign land, I suddenly felt a sense of home and comfort. In my native language, “Seny” means brilliance or something glitters like gold. Read more here.
